about

The origin of this band started in 1996 when drummer Martin asked guitarist Skjalg to join in on a project he had going on rehearsing in the occupied culture centre Volapük in Oslo.
This was a very free form jamming experience with more focus on getting stoned and play the same song for half an hour or so, it was obvious this wasn’t going anywhere but at least it was something to do.
A bit later guitarist Even told about his friend Peter who wanted to start a thrash band and needed members. Martin and Skjalg joined in on this and had some rehearsals together with Peter and Even.
After some time it became obvious we had different visions for what we wanted to do and Peter moved on to find other members for his thrash band. Luckily for him he succeeded and founded a great band!
Even, Martin and Skjalg kept rehearsing and discussing the concept for the band. We wanted heavy riffs, bass with fuzz mixed with some space psychedelics and celestial shoegaze vocals.
Martin then suggested to ask his sister Nina to join in on vocals which accepted and got the job, she fit our vision perfectly and had a great voice!
We tried out some bass player but that didn’t work out, we wanted heavy, busy bass with fuzz and Skjalg did the recording of this like we had envisioned.

The recording was done in a couple of weekends and went smoothly.
This was done for free as a project at a sound-school in Oslo and for some reason it was not allowed to sell or promote the recording!

Some time later we went on to different projects and the recording was put on the shelf, until now…

Hearing this again after all these years we see it is so happy, feelgood music and want others to listen as well.
Please enjoy this trip to the sunny nineties when life was easy, the beer cheap and music fresh.
